Very good! I would truly have liked to read more. This is one of the better post-NFA stories I have read so far, and want to read more. I hope you will come back to it one day soon.

That was wonderful. Lately I can barely find a Spike/Buffy story that doesn't contain Willow and Xander bashing, your story shows how good it is to treat characters fairly. I can't buy a story after season seven that has a Xander who hates Spike, especially that it was clear that he's over his Spike hate in season seven.
glad you're liking it! that's always been a major peeve of mine, too - this is mostly just a mechanism for me to get across my ensemble lovin'.

i've always felt that buffy kinda overpowered all of these awesome characters on the show, so i'm giving them some time to percolate. glad you're liking illyria, and there's more on the willow-dawn dynamic.

this is a really great story...i've missed seeing illyria in post-NFA fics, so i am really happy you've got all the gang in it...and the dialogue is amazing...hope to see more soon...+buffy/spike reunions are always fun

Thank you for putting this last part in there. It was driving me crazy, lol. Looking forward to more from this story... I am really enjoying the way that you've expanded on what the comics have yet to (or might) unveil. It's like Buffy: All Grown Up. Definitely loving it!
have to admit, i've only read the first three of s8. but i'm glad you're liking this *grins*.

Okay I like the story but am somewhat confused about the Spike/Blue relationship. Now I have this wonderful story that I enjoy, Xander, Willow, Angel all wonderful. Great but uh...Spike is shaggin'a a blue leggy god. Right? He got off easy with Buffy here and great promise of a future for them, so how long will it take Buffy to kill him when she finds out that he is going from one bed to hers?

the way i see it, spike approaches every trial in his life with fists and fangs, and copes with the aftermath with broads and booze (yeah, that was cheesy). so he and this other highly alienated dame are stuck in a boat for a couple of weeks; blue's just figuring out that she likes pretty boys, and spike's coping with all of his losses. i figure it's something along the lines of post-funeral sex (y'know, affirmation of continued existence, etc.). not to say that buffy won't have a fit when she finds out, but hey! that's the fun, no?

I like the development you have going on for Xander. Its pretty nice, as well as his acceptance of Spike.
i'm thinking i already mentioned this to you, but oh, well. xander has always seemed to me to be one of the least evolved characters, until *bam* in the seventh season, he's suddenly the "one who sees." but he'd always been ueber-judgmental, so that really just didn't fly for me. so i'm embracing my own options of character development *grins*
plus, i always thought that he and spike should get on, if for nothing else than their love of inappropriate women, of snark, and their mutual disdain for angel.

I am really, really enjoying the friendship developing between Xander, Spike and Willow. By the time Buffy shows up in the story her friends will all be on board. This is a joy to read...makes me love the Scoobies again by showing they DID grow and change. Thanks.

That's Not The Issue
I'm enjoying Willow immensely in your fic, but gotta say Spike has me baffled. He learns that Buffy is not sleeping with or even in the same country as the Immortal and decides to respond by having lots of sex with Illyria?? Yep, baffled...(and, as a devoted Spuffy gal, maybe a little disappointed in him)... Looking forward to where you take this story.
i'm... hoping... that it will all seem (emotionally) rational in the end. though there aren't any guarantees. just continue yelling if it doesn't make sense. :)

Bad ass chapter, glad for the update. Even though I'm a major Spuffy fan, I have a soft spot for Spike/Fred, and Spillyria so I'm loving this fic.

i don't really see the illyria/willow sparkage; fred struck me as pretty thoroughly het, and i'd imagine that she'd influence any... choices made later. kennedy's already gone, though, if it makes you feel better. *grins*

A Timely Intervention
Excellent chapter!!!
That Giles tried to forebid Willow from helping Angel (and Spike) angers me. I have to seriously wonder about his motivations. Thankfully she ignored him.
Reading of the battle was very intense. Seeing how Willows powers made it possible to defeat the demon army was exciting. Watching Willow and Illyria work together to save Spike, then Spike useing the borrowed magic to save Angel was awesome. So much magic, so much power, doing things that should have been impossible. Spike healed, Illyria made into Fred again, and apparently Angel has a heart beat!!!
Really looking forward to the next chapter to see where you take the story!!!
