thanks for this story.  I got so caught up in their emotions during Moment of Truth.  Thanks for making their having sex be tender, I'm not big on the graphics and their just came across as it should: making love.  Warm fuzzies.

I feel half relieved to finally have closure on this story, and half saddened that there is no more!
Kinda like to ignore the angsty ending, but it wouldnt be right as it fits so perfectly, albeit heart-wrenching lol.

wonderful story - was a pleasure to read your treatment of the Angel finale and this Spuffy closure to Spike's return.   I guess it is good that you take them back to Angel's very ill planned campaign, and IMO, final death wish/revenge Grand Stand.

Luckily for the Slayers who had caught him, most of his anger had dissipated during the last two hours of his six hour journey and so he had surrendered without a fight.  LOL!  That is SO Spike!  The Slayers wouldn't have known what had hit them if he'd been determined to get through them to Buffy!!

Such an "Officer and a Gentleman" and a "Pretty Woman" kind of moment, almost like a 'fairy tale'!  Except OUR hero doesn't wear a spiffy white  uniform or a snazzy designer business suit, nor even shining armor on a white horse! Nay, swathed in black casual (although the new coats might be designer) with his head shining brightly he rides to our maiden in a black Viper, all swagger and strut.
Loved them practically yelling at each other, then Buffy dropping to a whisper, and probably still with an audience!  Great chapter, great moment!  Emotions are bouncing faster than a hyper Marsters in this fic and running the whole gamut think!

Stupid girl.  Still not willing to let him lead or to do the following..maybe it is just not her nature.  Who cares WHAT Angel wants?  After all this time Spike deserves her to go what he wants and to put his needs first.  Oh well, he loves her faults and all.

She should wonder why no one told her about Spike's role in the Dana situation (and I really want her to find out what Andrew told Angel and Spike....and why).

Love this.  It is more in character for her to jump to this conclusion than for her to be all righteous anger as is usually portrayed.  When it comes to being loved she is not ego driven at all but rather tragically insecure.  The anger reaction would have come from confidence and she really didn't have that.

Glad he can read her again to know what she's thinking.I really hope she sees Angel's attitude, that he thinks he has dibs on her heart (and realizes that Spike has been reminded of that "fact" likely more than once or twice...maybe even the fang gang backing up that attitude.. .   She might understand better that between her kissing Angel the night before before he died ad the attitude of Angel and his gang then Andrew's comments made him doubt her words there at the last).

I'm so glad Buffy didn't have to deal with the agony of not knowing about Spike, and having a clueless Harmony reveal it was great, but now she's thinking about how Spike didn't want her to know. Oh please, please don't let her chicken out and decide not to even go see him! I don't know if I can handle that. Plus, don't know how long this story will be, so don't know how long you might drag out the misunderstandings once they do see each other and maybe start talking/arguing. Nice set up.  It follows up logically from The Girl In Question if Buffy did not know about Spike being back (though Giles had to know).  This will be interesting....not long before that final battle in LA for her to act.
