Oh, no! The inevitable happened, and you wrote it so well! What a heartbreaking scene - poor Buffy, losing the man she loves in such a bizarre and unique circumstance.

Oh my God, slayme!! You've got me almost in tears - at work. How embarrassing. Oh my God. That was so sad. But at least they did have that time. And he knew how she felt before he went poof. Oh my God though. That was pretty damn breathtakingly beautiful and heartbreaking and arrgghh. :-) Great work, in short.

AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  My nose is dripping, my eyes are red and puffy and my throat is raw thanks to you.  I've been weeping since Giles threw his glass against the wall.  This was worse than Rose whispering, "Come back" as Jack sank in the cold northern Atlantic in Titanic you sadist (the last time I ever sobbed aloud in a theater)!

I am catching up on all the updates and saved this for the last...now I need to put ice on my eyes.

You really reached into the readers heart and squeezed every ounce of feeling out here.  The hints, the mood, the whole tone of this chapter made the reader expect it to happen, dread it an yet be surprised at the same time.

Love every word, every syllable of this chapter (the whole story is one of your very best but this chapter excels).  It could be used as a model to teach writing such a scene.  You have just hit it so far out of the park it's in another county.

Excellent beyond the telling. and a privilege to read.  It will become one of those stories to read and reread for years to come.
