This terrible feeling of "could I havemade it better?" is so destructive. But it is natural to feel that way. I always liked Riley - well, untilhe tortured Spike with the plastic stake, I did. He's not good enuff for the Buff, but he's not a bad fellow.

Boy, Riley is just spreading joy where ever he goes.  Looking forward to more.

Damn you for writing so well. I don´t want feel sorrow about Riley because he don´t deserved it. And now does he try to remain as penance? Please, always wanting be the hero or martyr when already it is not necessary.

Good work. And use all the time that you need to maintain the quality.

It's official: I now like Riley. Well, in this fic anyway. I still hate the guy on the show, lol. One thing that I really loved was that he feels guilty for leaving and wonders if he could've prevented Buffy's death. It's like what Spike's going through, but not as intense and that's kinda where you can see their differences.

I'm a bit anxious to see if the Scoobies tell him about Dawn's Keyness and the origins of the Buffybot and what his reactions will be. That'll be fun to read if you do it.

Hope real life becomes less sucky soon! ;)

Oh god - I was hoping he'd be on the next bus out of town.

Just read chap 2-4 and they were sooo good !  I understand the "real life sucks", but I still can't help but beg that the next update come soon !  Very nice that Riley realized what an inoportune time he chose to leave, and having a chap from Spike's point of view gave a good contrast. I like how you are comparing the emotions and reactions of the two. Looking forward to seeing what you give us next :)

This story is very interesting,  and I am enjoying the the quick updates. Sadly, real life does interfere with a good times occasionally. Hopefully. your suckage will pass quickly, as it all does eventually and we will have our little  moments of joy again. That is what these stories are for me anyway!

wow, i'm liking it so far.  Riley is usually portrayed as a bad guy in Spuffy stories so I'm anxious to see how you play this out.  Keep it up :)

Just what I always thought about his leaving....RIGHT at the time she needed him to stay the most.  Very selfish of him IMHO.  Glad he sees that as the case.

Loved how he could see the truth in Dawn's eyes and the way they all acted spoke of Joyce as well.  He is being observant and that is what one would expect from a man in his position.
