as improved as he is in understanding himself, riley still is limited in his ability to read others by his narrowmindedness. very good read, thank you.

Well, duh, Riley.  A thanks wouldn't have hurt him.

I wonder just how cured Riley really is of his bite fetish?
Well, that's a good thing to wonder... Although, I'm not sure he'd ever go back. Too much shame. Thanks for reading!

Learning lessons....about time.  Spike SHOULD have caused all of them to reevaluate their creed about Vampires.  Riley needs to pay attention instead of making rash decisions.

Interesting and in character that his first emotion at the old lair was anger.  Part of him is still defensive about his shameful and dangerous behavior.

Spike's reaction to being misjudged once again was also in character.  He is hurting from Buffy's death too much to spare too much anger towards Riley...in fact he seems to take being misjudged as something to be expected.  His curt "You're welcome" was just the right touch.

Excellent once again.

Poor Spike. But just like Riley to misinterpret the situation - especially with Spike involved. Spot on with your interpretation of Riley's feelings about the old lair.

Poor poor Spike. He just doesn't have the energy to be his old cocky self. He needs a hug :-)

Thanks as always for your support and encouragement!

I like how you're having Riley grow up in this.
Everyone's had to grow up - it's about time he joined in. :-) Thanks for reading!
