Just caught up with this fic and really loving it. I like Riley and it's such a welcome change to read a fic in which Riley and Spike are sort of getting along. Wonderfully original stuff you have here.

Not sure how I feel about Riley & Spike doing a bit of male bonding. It doesn't feel right, somehow.

This is the first time I've ever read a story that hints at a Spike and Riley friendship and you know what? I like it. It actually is making some sense. I'm enjoying this.

Yes, Yes, Yes! I love it that you are writing a Riley with dimension. He's not just a one note wonder of jealousy and anger, as he is written quite a bit. I really like the way he was decent to spike in the last chapter, and now the two most powerful people in Sunydale are chatting together and working for the common good! I am so with you on this one, Good job!

I am actually liking the tentative bits of comradery between Spike and Riley (and I CANNOT believe I just said that!). They do have much in common at this point in history and it sort of picks up the flavor of the conversation after Riley staked him before leaving....that awkward sameness of loving a girl that was closed down in one way or another to them.
Nice segment here. Even to the Bot's inane comments and Riley easing Spike's discomfort to a degree. Love that Riley noticed that Spike had been crying at Buffy's grave and is attributing real feelings to the vampire.

This was a great chapter - a tentative friendship forming. I'm really enjoying the route you're taking this story, and the way in which you've chosen to do it. Keep it coming!

You know, much as I dislike Riley, I'm kinda liking the developing lessening of tension between these two.
