Sweet heaven above. I'm in love with this chapter. The Spike POV was amazing and insightful and extremely Spike. I adore how the confrontation went. Love the fighting and the kissing and the consulation Spike kept giving Buffy. SOOOOO awesome! Fan-freakin-tastic chapter!

Especially loved the not thinking straight part!

That actually went better than canon all things considered.  She's been handed a curve ball and it will be ugly I'll bet but not as ugly as it got on the show. 

Yes part of her thrilled to the fact that Spike is not on equal footing with her.  Hope she sees him as her match not a threat.

I much prefer your version of the 'the chip doesn't work on you' confrontation. It has none of the spite (on both sides) evident in the broadcast version and far more humour.

 Exciting!  I wasn't sure about reading a Riley-centric story, but this is excellent (like all your work).  Gradual build-up and then sliding into the Spuffy.  Loved the Tabula Rasa interpretation, too.

So glad you're back! And I loved the two chapters, especially the second :)
