this has to be the most skillfully done season one retell I've seen.  And I'm glad you resurrected the angel beast so he could have his destiny... (I like him, just not for buffy).  Also, I kind of enjoyed having the two blond warriors wipe the floor with Angel and Whistler... 

"What, no Acathla?  Let me fix that..." 

"Uh, how about NO!" 

Sometimes singlemindedness can be a very bad thing.  One must never suspend one's faculties and just follow along on the script.

Have to just say wow!!! All of your stories are amazing. I love your Spike. He isn't a whipped dog like in season 7. I also like how Buffy in your stories is more assertive.

 Oh, this was just...beautifully written! I couldn't even bear to stop reading between the other chapters to write a review, I was seriously hooked.  This is a great plot! Very interaction.  It would have been nice to have more of Giles/Xander/Willow/Everyone else.  But still, it was great.  Thanks for the read.  

BTW - Is there a sequel in mind? =D?

 What an awesome story. You did an amazing job weaving in canon and dialog. I was totally blown away at the end when you revealed that this was actually a prequel to the series in a way. I absolutely loved it.

Well you've done it again, another quite excellent ,unique story. You have a gift for taking the mythos of spuffy in a new direction.
I was taken aback when at first Spike was evil, I didn't see how it could be believably done...Oh me of little faith!  , I know the quality of your work and couldn't resist another look.  You are the real deal. I cant.think of another spuffy writer that I enjoy more, and there are so many good ones. Thanks for the great stories and all the effort that goes int writing them. N

Wow!  That was incredible.  I thought you did an exceptional job of characterizing Evil Spike falling in love.  It was so believable and so HIM.  That was a fantastic, beautiful story and I can't wait to read more of your work.  Oh, also, I thought you did a fantastic job with Joyce--I totally believed her liking of Spike as an individual looking out for Buffy but also leery of Spike's feelings for Buffy--and then her growing acceptance.  I just can't convey how exceptional I thought the story was.  I enjoyed it so much and thank you for sharing your talent and imagination with us all.

my only complaint is, this ended too abruptly!

i would have liked more, about angel trying something (of course he will!), how the thrall affects giles and xander, the council finding out, etc...

I'm so glad you didn't let the reset take place. Spike deserves so much better than that. Hell, Buffy deserves better than that... as you so wonderfully concluded.

I'm heaving a big sigh of relief here! Perfect ending except for the fact that I didn't want it to end....

Holding my breath there for a minute - I didn't check first to see whether or not the story was "complete" yet and I wondered if Whistler would turn time back . . .

Good that the PTB, at least, have enough sense to listen to their slayer, even if their ill-dressed little representative decided against it.
