another fine read, thank you. take your time and tell your great tale as your muse tells you.

Better to take your time and get your work at the quality that you want instead of trying to satisfy your "hungry for more" readers - Your story is so good.  Especially with the theme of punishment and revenge that you have introduced - it's a tough and complex theme.  With Spike, he is right, his nature is to deal with killing and violence - with Buffy, it becomes much more complex.

Hope you have a great Halloween  - I'm thinking that I will try another image that features Lukas, Buffy and Spike that you can use for the chapters dealing with what happens to Lukas and Spike's punsihment against all the abusers.
Thank you for being so understanding!! :) Though, I prefer writing this story than getting headaches from writing the essays, one has to have priorities. *sigh* At least I'm almost finished! Review like yours always lifts my spirits! :)) You're right, Spike doesn't really have any dilemmas other than protecting Buffy, whereas she has to deal with facing her fears and the demon that had ripped away her innocence... she hasto be strong not only physically, but also emotionally. It's something she has to do on her own, and Spike understands that... doesn't mean he has to like it though. lol

That would be so great!!! :) Let me know whenever you have time. Great Halloween to you too, Sylvia!! :D My would be much better if I had money to go to London and see James at Hallowhedon... unfortunately, student here, so the budget is kind of tight. *sigh* I've wanted to see him since I became a Spike fan five years ago.

Thank you for the awesome review!!! :D

Great chapter, though I was surprised Joyce wasn't mentioned. I love how we get to see Buffy and Spike being serious and worried and affectionate and playful and humorous... all the things that make up a relationship beyond declarations of "great, tragic love" betwen crisises that was really all the shallow relationship we got to see between Buffy and Angel on the show.

As a couple living together, Spike and Buffy are very real and it's wonderful how you made it seem to effortless to read. Buffy simply wanting to make Spike feel as good as he makes her feel was natural and says a lot about both of them and how they're learnign to fit together as people, despite violent pasts. Great job!
I don't have the next chapter written yet, but Joyce is defifnitely going to be in it, so don't worry...not leaving that one hanging. :) And good point about the Angel and Buffy thing... it was pretty shallow, they didn't even know each other since Angel didn't seem to be a sharing type, and Buffy was pretty much just a kid when they were together... sure they had the whole angsty drama teen thing going on, but there was never that sense of 'realness' that she and Spike had. Actually I stumbled upon this ridiculous petition yesterday, it said 'sign up' if you think Spuffy was disgusting and perverse or some such rubbish. Some Bangel fan actually called their S7(!!!) relationship disgusting. The fact that someone didn't like their relationship is okay, but why be so nasty about it?

Anyway, I'm really glad it's coming across just the way I wanted it to...they are both just trying to find a little bit of happiness where they can, getting closer and relying on each other for support. :) Thank you so much for the brilliant review!!! :D
