very good chapter, thank you. someone has to let  joyce know what is happening. and may i add: don't stop, buffy.
You're very welcome. :) Don't worry, Buffy won't be able to cover this up with convincing lies, so there will be some facing up to the truth in the next chapter, which you can read whenever you've got time since it's already been posted. Dave definitely will get what's coming to him, but maybe not from Buffy. She will however have her revenge, no doubt about that. ;) Thanks for the lovely review, vladt!!! :D

What a big turn of events - think you handled Buffy's reaction in a disturbing but also realistic way - it reads like something that would happen in the real world.  Either the victim could retreat in fear and self protection, be reduced to abject fear, or they could just lose all control and find release in giving back some of the abusive, extreme pain and fear onto the abuser.

Looking forward to your new chapter - hope that I can have an image for you very soon.
:D Already replied to the other review... thank you again!!! :)

Thank you! :) I did research on the PTSD before I started writing this, and since Buffy came to the point of regaining her own power little by little, it would make more sense of her to turn the rage against her abuser instead of retreating into herself which she would have done had this happened weeks ago. And being treated not just as a victim, but as an equal by Spike, while still being able to rely on his ability to comfort her and protect her, Buffy can learn to live with what had been done to her.

That would be so very great of you! :) Let me know whenever you think of something. I'm pretty sure the story won't have more than 30 chapters, so it's getting really close to an end. *sigh* I will miss writing this story! Thank you so much for the brilliant review, nmcil!!! :))

I love your Buffy/Spike scenes, and how you can make them be so lighthearted and then serious and real. It seems like a little too much of a coincidence for Dave to be a random guy who paid to beat up a young girl, so maybe we'll find out he dabbles in magic or is involved with Wolfram and Hart or something.

I wonder if Joyce is going to learn about vampires around Spike, who is trapped out of a house while the woman he loves has to face somebody who abused her, or if she'll only learn about the captivity. Looking forward to the next chapter and how Spike talks to Buffy about what's happening. Great chapter.
Yay, thank you so much!!! *grins* I try not to make the story way too heavy. Now that they are so much closer than they had been, and Buffy is on her way to being healed more and more, it's more appropiate to use those lighthearted dialogues between them. Dave was meant to show you that even a regular Joe, and a human being, could be just as evil as demons are... but yeah, he had to know about the place from someone, right? *winks*

Joyce will definitely have her world turned on its axis! Everything she thought was true will be altered by what Buffy tells her in the next chapter. After what had happened, Buffy won't be able to keep up her lies any longer, and she will have to tell her mom everything, unless she wants to end up being in a loony bin again (not that Spike would let that happen)... besides, now she has her very own vamp to support her 'demons are real' theory. More will be up next week. :) Thank you so much for the brilliant review!!! :D
