Just want to say how much I have enjoyed this - Love the Buffy/Anya treatment. It gives Buffy a great way to better understand this character and it sure is a very effective twist for using both Buffy and Anya - brings in an interesting perspective for dealing with the issues that I think were poorly used in the series with Anya - having Buffy be the voice looking back and living as the outsider that Anya and Spike both had to experience is a very interesting way to show the development of all the characters.
Did a perfect segue into the next part of your story - Let's you save Buffy having to break Xander's heart and ego.
Very excited with your new story and I hope that you will be able to bring updates on a regular basis. Can't wait for the next chapter -

Thank you for the feedback! Anya and Spike are my two favorite characters, and it's fun to give them both some preferred treatment here. :) My other goal here was to knock some sense into the "main" Scoobies without outright bashing, so hopefully I'm pulling that off, too. :) Next chapter coming on Monday! Great chapter, liked how Buffy still didn't let Spike in for her birthday.
Yeah, I don't think that Buffy would be so quick to accept Spike, whether or not she jumped his bones. Plus, abandoned!Spike is so adorable... :D

Yep- I avoided breaking my own rule of them not finding out that it was future Buffy, even if I cheated a little. :) Thank you for reviewing!
