Incredible story I ate up the Origins universe. Thank you for writing it

Read the whole series and was utterly transfixed; took about four days with breaks for life and all it entails.  You have a great ability to tell a story.  Even in the areas I questioned; I still thoroughly enjoyed your work.

WOW!!!   Just finished reading this third story in your "Origins" series, and it was fantastic.      I only started reading the Buffy fan fictions a couple of months ago, and this is one of the BEST yet!     I especially liked the parts where you were able to bring both Willow & Xander around slowly & easily, as many writers usually cause them to have a very sudden "about-face", which is just not real life.    Also, it was refreshing to see Angel get dusted (FINALLY), and to have Travers not be a complete monster.

Really enjoyed every minute, and I hated for the stories to end!   Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the rest of us!

Wonderful, wonderful story. Thanks so much for sharing this all with us. Love your wordy-ness- you have noting to apologize for on that front!!! More stories in this verse would be the best thing ever. I\'m rather late to this fandom, so I\'ve read all of these in one go, staying up nights for about a week- it\'s been that riveting! I\'ve really appreciated all the exploration of the characters beyond the action. Not enough authors pay attention to world building, even if it\'s an established one. Characters change ans it\'s been really lovely getting the insight on those changes. Thanks again, you are very talented, please continue gifting us with your work!

I feel bad I haven't reviewed each chapter for all three stories. My only excuse is that I found these after they had been completed and I was so involved in reading that I just clicked to the next chapter eager to find out what happened next. Each of the stories in this series were wonderful. Origins was simply the best thing I have ever read. It was heartbreaking and loving and tender all at the same time.

Revelations was great. I loved the idea that Dawn was from Buffy and Spike. That always bothered me on the show. If they had only used DNA from Buffy Dawn would have been a clone and she obviously wasn't. The pain and death that Willow caused in my mind could never be forgiven. Because of her actions an innocent boy lost his life and another lost his childhood. Casey would never have been in Angelus' path without that spell and Connor wouldn't have grown up alone and scared until Spike found him. The core Scooby's all had deep emotional problems. Buffy ran when things got too intense. Xander refused to accept change. And Willow, when things didn't go her way she lashed out hurting others in the process. From the delusting spell, attempting to curse Oz and Veruca,  the Will Be Done spell, pulling Buffy from heaven, all of it. (Plus the things she did in season 6) It wasn't about addiction, it was about power and control. And her belief that what she wanted was the right thing for everyone. Not to mention Angel getting his head ripped off was a bonus! Plus Anya and Giles make a much better couple.

Resolutions was the eye-opener Buffy needed about Riley. He was never the wholesome good ol' boy from Iowa he claimed to be. Oh he might have been once upon a time but not since he joined the Initiative. The power he got from the military mindset and the steroids went to his head. The fact that he could and did help in the capture and torture of sentient beings and then could walk past those cages without a twinge of guilt made me hate him from early on. So his beat down by Spike made me smile. Then you killed Kennedy! I would love this for that alone!

I always wondered why the gang couldn't understand that Spike changing sides no matter the reason was a cause to celebrate instead of view with mistrust. An evil being chose to fight on the side of good. That is a pretty big feather in the cap of the good guys. That you had Giles recognize it and acknowledge it and support it was wonderful.

So thank you for a wonderful story. I have to admit I reread it often.

I've commented here before, but I need to say it one more time.
Origins is, put simply, the most beautiful, thought provoking, awe inspiring, heartclenching, terrifying, perfectly planned fictional series that I have ever taken the time to sit down and read. If there was only some way we could get this published in paperback. It deserves to be out there for the public to read, to give an idea of where the series could, and in my mind should, have gone after Glory.
This version shows the Scoobies growing up and, inevitably, at least for the original core-members,growing apart; the issue of Dawn is confronted rather than being swept under the rug; Connor, though I actually have no issue with his real portrayal, is given such a better arch; Spike's efforts were not just thrown away - something that always irked me even before I was on the Spuffy bandwagon; Xander's bigotry and Willow's issues were brought to light; Tara got a much more substantial role, which she rightly deserved; Oz came back (I like Oz, sue me); Riley got the comeuppance he so richly deserved but was never dealt; the threat of Angelus was finished off for good - by Souless Spike no less, that's a definite plus; and most importantly of all, for me at least, we saw Buffy really sort of come into her own as a person and an adult - again, something that I don't think was ever covered, in the series or in the comic books.
I think I speak for every reader who has been smart enough to click on a link that says 'Origins' on the Bloodshedverse website, and subsequently fallen in love with your universe, when I say, thank you Nia for giving us, not only a story that tapers to our admittedly biased opinions, but for also continuing a story that was so terribly let down by its real creators...
You know who you are? You're Giles. You're the pseudo parent that the Buffyverse wasn't looking for that suddenly took it under its wing and somewhere along the line became so much more of a guiding star than Whedon or Mutant Enemy could ever hope to be.
I have never said that about a fanfiction piece before, and I never will again. But then, as far as I'm concerned, this isn't a fanfiction. This is merely that other path less travelled...and the Buffyverse is less for not going in that direction.

Well, this has been a blast!  You've taken up my life for days now with your lovely epic.  I'm so glad that you ended up with Rona as the 'future' of the slayers... she's so much more 'my type of girl' than the brat.  Might have been interesting to see Kennedy end up with Willow, which is what I thought you were aiming for at first, but I'm good with the way things turned out.  Thanks for an enthralling tale.  Will keep my eyes open for other offshoot stories b/c this universe really works for me.

Peace,

Blue

Hahaha! I'd go with 'omg, u wordy biotch, finally ova' but it was so well written and detailed I can'nt hate on you! Spikey deserves all this looove! :) ...although def can hate you for meeting JM XD Lets see...love the rollercoaster ride, the smexy scenes; the quotes really intensified the ambience of the chapters, and most so true... I wouldn't mind you owning the rights to the btvs franchise, since it would imply hot sex, awesome apocalipse combos, character development and most importantly (yeah) more sizzling blond vamp spikey !! :d About the novel thing...Who cares!!! Made MY (boring) days so much sweeter! *stand up and cheers for you* Keep up the good work and make me yo reading ho! ....too far? Sorry...um...jus' gonna...go... (apologizing profusely to master for any and all awful grammar mistakes: english not this ones mother tongue) See ya!

Thank you so much for sharing this story. Whenever you updated, it cheered me up and made my day. After knowing these characters (your characters) for so long, every update was like a visit with old friends. I'm going to miss this 'verse, and any other stories you might add will be very welcome. Even as long as it is, I will go back read it again, like a favorite novel.

The characterizations were wonderful. There was a truth to each character that came through. What I mean is, while this isn't canon, it felt like it could have been, based on the way you developed the characters.

Again, thanks very much. I've spent many happy hours reading your stuff. You have a talent and it's wonderful that you choose to share it with others.

Great to hear that their is the additional "Destinies" at EF -

Again - just want to add a great big "Thank You" for keeping faith with your story and passion for writing.  I know this had to be a huge and oftentimes a burden to keep going.  I am so very happy that you did not abandon your wonderful series.  I have enjoyed it so very much.

I know that all your readers appreciate that the work was not another WIP - never to find completion.    Congratulations on your work.
