Wonderful writing, really felt Buffy's anxiety and sense of betrayal on the journey. I think Figg is scary because he is so ordinary. He's like you friendly neighbourhood serial killer. He doesn't rave or threaten, he kills with a smile and because he's insane there's a touch of innocence too.  They're always the more terrifying monsters, because they could be anybody. Great update. 

Hang on in there just a little while longer, Spike, the cavalry is coming!  Great build up.
