Letters to a Friend by ginar369
Chapter: Chapter 3

Love the idea that Spike comes back to SunnD to be near his new "mom."

Her friendship might have changed him fundamentally but he is smart enough to know that in order to keep on the straight and narrow he really needs to be near his friend. A letter every couple of days doesn't compare to daily contact.

I just got a chance to catch up on my reading, and I like it so far (especially the telling Angel off part. I love telling Angel off).

And now you've left me with a cliffhanger. Arrgh! (Write more, please!)
I love telling Angel off too! He always thought too highly of himself in my opinion. Joyce never did like him, so I couldn't see her holding back. I'm glad you like it. Spike and Angel were so different. Angel tried to pretend his past never happened and Spike never shied away from what he did. Not that Spike didn't do very bad things. But he understood that guilt, well it only got you so far. At some point you have to realize that you can't change what you did you can only go forward and try to be different. Since Angel wouldn't even admit to doing bad things he couldn't ever really get to that point. It was always his alter-ego that was the naughty vamp, not him, he was a Champion! pfft!
