Chapter: Walking, Cleansing

This is such a great story - and I really like your treatment for a Spike torture piece; like that it was done by such a character that has this duality.  One side you feel such pity for him and how he lost all those he loved and then such anger and disgust  for what he has done to all his victims.  Having Drusilla be the messenger voice, a good statement on her own tragic abuse and insanity.

Very much enjoying your work.
I love readers who give me their own insights into what they like.  It gives me the impression that I'm writing something dep enough to provoke that level of thought, which is a thrill.

I owe a lot to pressional author Tanya Huff; we've never met, but her series have taught me so much about how to make dialogue WORK, and how to make interesting villains instead of one-note "bad guys".  Figg is almost entirely down to her.

Interesting thought about Drusilla.  It's been long enough now that I"m not sure whether I had any conscious intent in that direction or just wanted someone who would surprise my audience.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.  It's always a thrill and a pleasant surprise to get a review so long after the story was first published.  Cheers!

Oh My...
...that was incredible.
And I don't think I'm coherent enough to say another thing.

Well, thanks.  Glad you enjoyed.

I like to think the shower will wash away all the badness in their history together away along with the filth.  Lovely chapter.
Lovely thoughts, Lou, thanks.  We'll see what happens!

Yay finally made it into the house, things are definately looking up. I love the bonding between the two, didn't get a lot of that in Sunnydale. It's great that they're making new memories, they can finally let the past go. It'll make them stronger in the long run. Brill update.

Many thanks - I feel the same way.  If Season 7 hadn't had another massive apocalypse interrupt things, I felt like there coul dhave been some real closeness developing for them.  I think Buffy won't take for granted the opportunity for more of that now that she has Spike back.
