Chapter: Chapter 1

What a sad tale of a Slayer and a Vampire - all their history to have become so distant from each other and life - That harsh about Dawn.

WOW - first time I have ever come across a story where Buffy would leave behind her child or not fight to her very last breath to save her child or Dawn.  This is a very bleak and distressing picture of Buffy and what happens to her post Sunnydale.

I'm glad that she at least has the potential to have an immortal friend and companion in Spike.

Nice story - glad you didn't just have them fall into each others arms.

Yeah, that didn't seem right. Glad you like it!

That explains the Immortal. And it is actually in line with Buffy. Something major emotionally happens and she shuts down and just goes through the motions doing what others tell her or what they think she should do. The only real emotion she showed was when he broke Angel's nose and that was about Spike. In a way I can understand not bonding with her baby. She knew by then that she was immortal. To fall in love with her child knowing that she would outlive him would be hard. Like she said unless someone cut off her head there was no way in hell she wouldn't outlive her kid.
She really is all avoidance girl when it comes to emotional stuff. But that makes her intriguing to write about.

It's as if Buffy has been sleep walking all these years...sort of an extended replay of after she came back from heaven.  She was just looking for ways to feel.   This is an amazing chapter!
Thank you so much!

Great start, a bit sad but hopeful now she's found Spike again.

There's always hope!

Poor Buffy, she really need someone who understand her, to make her live again.

Hmm... who could that be... ;-)

Dang, are you prolific!  Here's another story by BMS.  I'm in.
Well, this one won't be as long, but I do hope you like.

My secret to being prolific: Have a long, boring commute by train. I have at least an hour a day where I can write uninterrupted by kids or work, and that makes all the difference.
