Oh, I had tears in my eyes at the end of that chapter. Poor Spike, tormened and broken.
But I hope you will make him to get himsel together. It's time for Spike to stop crying and go kick some asses. One of Riley's in particular ;-)

he will in time...Buffy's behavior followed by Riley's torture left him very confused and a little on the needy side... but I'll make it better i promise :)

Awwww.... Beautiful chappie. But what we need to see is Buffy telling him she's his just the same as he's hers. ::Looks hopeful:: Poor sexy injured Spike. Hope for more soon!
i agree; but they're still a little ways away from that unfortunately :(

Very sweet. I'm glad they worked some things out and that they didn't go any further than kissing, that sure would have hurt Spike badly. I love this new tenderness, probably what they both need. Lovely chapter jl1980, I'm looking forward to more. ~Nina

VEry nice. I am glad that Tara had brought up these issues, and that Buffy realy did think about what she might have done. I enjoyed this chapter!

This was a great chapter. Loving and tender and sweet. Buffy is also seeing for the first time how hard it is to really know what Spike wants and she is really making an effort for him.
glad you liked it...she is trying to make things right but still has a ways to go :)

This chapter nearly made me cry. Wonderfully written. Spikes actions were so believable... and It was so sad that he was so confused and afraid of Buffy´s reactions. Difficult for him, and difficult for her, and yet at the same time their actions were so tender... Please, please, let them have some spuffy time without the darkness, at least for a while???

awww.. thats sweet but spike is still thinking that she wants him only like a mistress and not as an actual person.. generally speaking...
yeah, he's a little confused...but wouldn't you be? she's smacking him one second and kissing him the next...she's gonna have to go a little ways to get through the wrong ideas she's made him believe

Great Tara in Chap 22. Too bad she wasn't that good on the show.
Yeah i always thought Tara had an inner strength that they never really showed on the show...but given the right circumstances it would come out :)

I'm glad Buffy took Tara's words to heart and started looking at Spike's situation more from his point of view. This was a very tender, sweet chapter--I loved it, and I love the direction their relationship is starting to take.
