ahhh!!!!Ok first. Great chapter. It´s nice to see some answers, and to have Buffy and Giles being honest to each other, but this story can not go fast enough!!! I want to know what is going to happen!!!! like now.:-))
i know, i'm pretty sure we're getting back to some action next chapter ... :) i think

Go Giles!  I caught an insinuation in the line, where he said that Buffy's calling was to destroy evil *wherever* she finds it.  If I'm right, and I hope I'm not, I like where this is going.  Good chapter!
i think you probably caught what you thought you did :) thanx for review :)

Very nice! I enjoyed the converation between Buffy and Giles a lot! I think that it brings a whole new light to the story, and I can't wait to see where you take it!

"I used to stake vampires all the time, so why should the whole slavery thing bother me?”

You've put your grubby little writer finger right on the issue that Whedon dodged from the day that Angel was outed as a vampire. If Angel or Spike could be forced, one way or another, to curb some of their more vicious appetites, why not others? There were some other vampires on the show that might have fallen into that category: Spike's minion, Dalton and that psychologist buddy of Buffy's who gives her a free therapy session right after he pops out of her grave. A couple of characters that JW dispatched way too soon, IMHO.

I love the way you've captured the stuffed, shirt blowhard that Giles has become by the end of the show - the same pompous ass that wants to let Principal Wood kill Spike just in case. Where does he get off busting Buffy's chops? He killed at least one human during the show. Love it!
so glad you liked it...i agree, many of the buffyverse's vamps were too three-dimensional to fit the canon description of what a vampire was supposed to be... as far as Giles...in this story i'm not really going for stuffed shirt blowhard... :\ ... i think that his points are actually valid...and he hasn't killed a human yet in this world... ;) lol

Great update. I loved the honesty between Giles and Buffy, and Buffy admitting that she didn’t know what she was doing and Giles admitting that what he taught her about vampires may not be completely correct. Buffy and Giles working together again, fabulous, can’t wait for the next chapter.
thanx, glad you liked it...now they can really start working together to take down riley's people :)

Now see, Giles SHOULD have reacted that way (with curiosity at least) on the show when Spike behaved so differently than the Council line said he should. I like your intelligent Giles much better! Excellent update as always.

i agree...giles was supposedly really smart, and yet he never picked up on those things...glad you like my version :)
