How could Giles think that Spike could do anything to hurt Buffy? The doctor said it was a heart attack not an animal attack. Don't no that Buffy's really any better than Travers, at least him wants something, she did it because she could. Like I said, not loving Buffy at the moment, but I love this story.
He's falling back on what he knows, is all.

Awww poor Spike. I hope he'll be ok soon. Giles is impossible you know. What will it take for him to trust Spike?
Old dogs take longer to learn new tricks. Giles is an example of this.

very goood read, thanks. you have giles portrayed perfectly. a complete ass. he was infected by the council and was only moderately less a pain than travers. both knew what was "right for everone."
If I weren't true to the characters, even the parts I don't like, no one would read my fic.

ohh, I hope Spikes suffering will end soon. Love the update though, usually I only read fics that are completed but I can't keep from reading your story. Thanks for sharing it!

Poor, poor Spike (and naughty reactionary Giles!). Wonderful update. Now we just need the "good guys" to get their wits about them and mount a needed rescue. May I just say that I can't wait for the downfall of the Council!!!??? (One GOOD thing Caleb did on the show IMHO).

You know Giles, when Buffy's in danger he falls back on what he knows. Vampires= bad, even if there is an exception to the rule. There will be an implosion at the Council, don't worry.

Giles really doesn't understand Spike at all, I hope Buffy will remember enough to clear Spike's name. I really loved Spike's response to Quentin and I am really looking forward to any kind of justice served against him. Thanks for the update. :)

It's a shame Buffy's memory is so fuzzy. I hope the fog in her brain lefts soon. When she does get her memories back should be interesting to see if Giles current opinion changes towards Spike again. It's good to know Travers hasn't broken Spike's spirit. Great chapter!
It will clear up soon, don't worry. The opinion of Spike is being colored by what the "Other" vamp did to Buffy. Remember, "Oh it wasn't me. I wasn't in control." Spike is the better man, and Giles will find that out soon.

Oooo ... excellent ending to this chapter. First off ... Stupid Giles. After all that Spike went through when he through Buffy was dead, why the heck would he think that Spike would do this to Buffy? {growls at Giles} There is still so much of the old reservations in him that need to be pounded out.
