When I first started reading this story, I almost decided not to continue since the idea of Spike with anybody but Buffy--even if she was presumed dead for 30 years--usually leaves me feeling less than warm and fuzzy. But, I kept reading because I enjoyed your writing. Now, I'm hooked on this story, but one more cliffhanger like that...Are you TRYING to kill me?

Cain Travers is certainly an evil little jerk. I loved the interaction between Spike and Buffy and the fact that Mya didn't seem to have a problem with them together. Thanks so much for the update, I really enjoyed it.

OMFG! OH god i can't believe Spike has to argue against her. Oh god...this is really really bad. Poor Buffy. Poor Spike.

oh.my.gosh. this is awful...except...he could do a little legal maneuvering a la "sleepers" -- did you ever see that movie, where brad pitt is a lawyer playing both sides? -- that could be cool...i can't decide whether this is a very good development or a very bad one... *sigh*...this *is* a very good chapter, though... :) love it, can't wait for the next :)
