No! of course Oscar could never kill a child, even if he is a vampire. What he went through as a father would stay with him his entire existence. Wow, loved that you placed Diana during William's time, made it so much more personal between them all. Once I get caught up, I'll start reading Vanishing Point, like I should of before I started this. Excellent chapter, FMS. Loved Spike's first words to her. He does alway's try to protect what's his, that's our Spike. Thanks for the wonderful story.
Indeed he wouldn't. There is more of a connection between them than you think. Vanishing Point can be a bit confusing. But, I will help where I can. Thanks for reading. :)

very good read, thanks. it would be very easy to say, kill angel slowly, and go on to another tale. but you have jonina's “Daddy will save them.” so spike will save the ba....
I know...I would so much like to let Liam die. But, he's human and we can't disillusion the little girl.

The regard that Oscar feels for William shows through. First with how Oscar didn’t think William could survive the sight of how he found Diana, and yet he did, and then with him taking care of (if I understand this correctly) Oscar’s wife after Oscar was turned. I like how Oscar is making Liam take a look at his life and who he really is. His question on if Liam is worth saving was an interesting one, and I was somewhat surprised at Liam’s response. Thanks so much for the update, I really enjoyed it.
Sometimes it takes a harsh eye to make someone see themselves clearly. I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

You have to just love how Spike found his voice when Buffy needed him the most. The new info we learned in the flashback makes everything even more interesting. Oscar is so blinded by his pain and need for revenge that he seems to be forgetting how big Spike's heart is, like Joni says her Daddy is a Prince who saves people, even if they don't deserve it like Liam. I look forward to finding out what happens next. Wonderful chapter!
Spike may have had some help, there. :) I think he's counting on the experiences away from Buffy to change him. Maybe they did...most likely not though.

I think I like Oscar. For the most part Angel really hasn't had to face what he's done. Most of his victims aredead and Drusilla is too broken to seek revenge on him.

And he's really reaching by trying to say that the things he did were to survive and were done without thinking. Drusilla alone is evidence that he put thought into what he did to people . Not to mention (i think it's canon) him going on about the art of the kill.
You're supposed to like Oscar a little. Yeah, we all know "Liam's" blowing smoke...but he has to do something. If he doesn't, he could be killed-for real this time.
