Yay, she's pregnant, but I should have expected that Joyce might hit him with something after that "axe" incident. Well, that's two down and I guess the most important one's to tell, but I'm a littl concerned that she's getting big so fast. That can't be good at all. Only one morer chapter and I'm caught up, damn, I'm really enjoying this.
Joyce is not just your basic suburban mom. Heh heh.

I don't think Joyce is above cracking Spike over the head. She's done it before. Also, Buffy didn't learn how to be inappropriately violent on the day she became the Slayer.

lol...joyce giving spike a black eyes...that's kinda hilarious...and giles' reaction to both bits of news...and buffy's whole single-breath explanation of the experiment...this chapter had me constantly smiling...very well done, looking forward to more :)
I like the theory I've seen floating around that Slayerness (like Watcherness) is hereditary, so maybe Joyce was a potential for her generation and her hidden violent character got passed on to Buffy. Poor Giles, he must be the first Watcher to have a slayer shack up with not one, but two vampires.

Love your title for this chappie. It's oh so accurate. Except it certainly didn't apply with Joyce! Looking forward to their take once the Scotch fuzziness wears off.
Joyce may be easing herself in with that tea making. I've come to appreciate her character more lately. Too bad JW killed her off. Thanks for reviewing.
