hi! it's me again... soo, i'm still a little confused. Homer is a version of Spike, correct? but is he the human side or something? is that why Spike was so out of it before? and why has Homer aged so much? has he been (where ever they were) for that long a time?

oops, that was a lot of questions, wasn't it... so, i'm a little more confused than i thought, but i love the story and the emotions that come through so clearly in your writing. it's just that i'm really slow on the uptake, apparantly :D

love it, update soon!

Hi annie-
Yes, Homer is Spike. A part of Spike that very few belive even exists. This part encompasses *all * beings, good or not. He's sort of the"fifth element."

The name "Homer" means promise. Remember what Spike said in "The Gift?" Something about "A promise to a lady..." :)

Homer has taken it upon himself to take care of Joni, as well as take her punishment for her use of magic. But, the Higher Ups(PTB'S) would not allow him to tell Joni or Spike who he really was. So he's in disguise, sort of.

The age thing is just a way of letting the reader know that a great deal of time has passed, and whatever "Homer" is, he's been through alot.

Here's a hint- reading Chapter 15 of "Vanishing Point" may help:) That and renting the movie "The fifth element"

I loved Homer's interaction with his family, especially with Joni. Can't wait to find out what happens next. Fantastic chapter!
Thanks! "Papa" does love Joni doesn't he?

i am so completely confused right now...
Well, if I can help at all...I'll try. But, as the summary to this story suggests- it might be helpful if you were familiar with some of the events of the previous story. Sorry about that. I hope you will continue to read anyway, and I'll try and answer any questions.
