Excellent twist! I like your idea but wondering how you're going to pull it off without them being changed? They aren't going to use the amulet either? Loved how Buffy has finally allowed herself to enjoy the slayer in her. I just love watching them fighting together, they're wonderful. Great work, thanks JD.

seems the writers on the series forgot the words they had spike say, "That's the thing about magic. There's always consequences." excellent read, thank you. to make myself feel better, i am going to believe giles is misinformed, as usual, about the immortal.
Heh, Thank you! I was of two minds about the Immortal, but finally this version forced its way into the story. I prefer to think that on Angel, Buffy didn't really have a relationship with the wanker, that it was all a ruse. :)

Nice twist, that last paragraph. It would explain the entire last season of Angel.

It's a very likely summation. I always thought there had to be huge consequences to doing that spell.
