love the read, thank you. spike must be seriously screwed up, to allow red to remove magic from his mind. it's red! and she doesn't know what the magic does. just moved your story into a different category. the one where i say, refresh your memory, then reread chapter one. and then every lovely word up to the current update. thanks, again
Willow seemed to be in control of her magic during the bulk of S5; it wasn't until S6 that she began slipping and developed her addiction. Also, she had done a similar spell with Buffy, which I think helped aid Spike's decision. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Good chapter.Update soon.Yay, you're back!Are you still planning on doing the challenge in May?It's taking forever,but it's almost here.I have less than nine weeks of my junior year of high school left.Then I'll technically be a senior.As an Easter present,my grandma got me a laptop.My parents are giving me a six day trip to Florida to visit my godparents.We haven't seen them since they moved.We leave in two weeks.This'll be my first time flying.
I'm not sure if I'm going to do the challenge or not; I think I have a lot on my plate at this point in time. I'm doing the 20 hot prompts (I've only written two!) and two of the Art Before Fic banners; is there a time limit on your challenge? Hope you had a good time in Florida!

I was so glad to see this story updated. I hope all goes well and that you get back on your feet soon. Real life can certianly get in the way sometimes. Take care of yourself and I hope you can update soon. :)
I'm sorry it took so long to update! I'm working on chapter XIII, and given that it's mostly Spuffy, I think it will be up much more quickly. :)

oh wow..was that his soul, or the magic? or both? i can't wait to find out the answer...i hope will's spell goes okay, so that poor spike doesn't end up worse off because of her wonky magic...great job on this chapter, looking forward to more :)
In answer to your first question; Willow's removed the magic. The soul's definitely still there (maybe I should clear that up...? :/), and I don't plan on it going anywhere (the path is clear for some Spuffy loving. :P) But there's definitely some trouble brewing ahead! I'm so glad you're still sticking with my story!

Life happens, but writing provides a wonderful escape from it, you know? I just didn't have the time, energy, or motivation to write for a while -- but that didn't stop me from kicking myself about the fact that I hadn't written anything in a while. Congrats on the awards, this great fic deserves it. Sorry you're having RL troubles. Trying to figure out why anyone would want Spike to have all that power and what is Willow going to do with it after she puts it in the box? So happy Spike took Buffy up on her offer for him to stay the night. Really enjoying this. Good luck tomorrow, thanks.
I'm going to go more in-depth to why exactly there's magic present in Spike in a later chapter; right now I think the emphasis needs to be on this uncomfortable rift between Spike and Buffy. Because honestly, I want to see some Spuffy loving in this fic, and soon. :P Thank you for reading and reviewing!

I am delighted to see an update to this one! Love the story and can't wait to find out what this magic is that Willow has just put in a jar. Yes, I believe Spike got the soul for himself but I am dying to know how this magic came to be and what its purpose was to have been.
Love the tentative steps between Spike and Buffy. Hope Dawn is more like herself and Spike's little Bit this time.

I'm sorry I've kept you waiting for so long! I'll be exploring the soul and magic issues in a few chapters...and also address just where Spike has been all this time. And there will definitely be a reunion between Spike and Dawn in the next chapter. :) Thank you for sticking with me!
