This is certainly a unique way of going about their relationship. You really show the problems, instead of just skipping to the happy part. Its agonizing, seeing Buffy and the others treat Spike that way, but much truer to cannon.

I'm trying to get all caught up on my reading (and writing) now that life has calmed a little. Looking forward to getting up to speed on this one.

Wow, I can't believe I've missed so many of these. Here I thought you haven't been posting! They finally figured it out, It's either the house or a Summer's that's in it's sights. No one knows Spike well enough understand that when he loves, it's with everything and for alot longer then Buffy's going to be alive. tara and anya steal the chapter. buffy goes for violence, so she does not have to a thought pass through her mind; xander is worse than the deceased Acanthia demon. (the demon is no more, but xander is still around.) very good read, thank you.

Great chapter. Loved Spikes comment about loving forever, and how that was his curse. I liked how Tara acted towards Spike.

hmmm...who do we know in this season who summons demons? :P ... and that makes me think the target was buffy rather than dawn...the thing might have gone after dawn because of shared blood, etc...loved the spike/tara interaction, lovely chapter, pet :)

great chapter, I liked Spike-Tara frindship. And now Dawn is in danger, Buffy has to stop avoiding Spike... I think things will get even mor complicated... Can't wait to read more

That's certainly an appropriate quote for Spike. Sad though. I hope the demon was after Dawn, maybe Spike will get a chance to prove himself. Again. Something might finally sink in for Buffy.

Can Xander go to Willy's too, and maybe he can get knocked around a bit? Please? Its so annoying when he influences Buffy's decisions like this. He's smarter than that and a better friend.

I'm always a sucker for Spike and Tara moments. This was a nice one. Still sad for Spike, of course. He already had to endure a year of Biley. Now he gets to do it all over again. Must feel like an endless loop.

BTW, on Spike's own account, how does he explain the fact that he's no longer in love with either Cecily or Drusilla? Is he still in love with one or both? Or does he now think he never loved them?
