Hope your stalker was taken care of too! That had to be sooo creepy. And your exams went fine as well. Great Stubborn Willow and her needing to get Lethe's bramble to deal with Tara's disapproval and worry. Sorry for Spike and what he had to see. Can't wait to get to the next chapter.

excellent read, thank you. buffy is doing really well. now if spike would talk to her rather than red, well, your fine tale would probably be many chapters shorter. i would not wish that. be safe, be happy.

Willow's bad just has to come out one way or another. Nice job -- and a sweet moment for Buffy.
I enjoyed the Spike/Buffy moment; it was a last-minute addition, to be honest. But most of my readers have liked it, so I'm glad I put it in!

oh man....that's messed up...willow's really going to get herself in trouble with that magic...and it's so disturbing how ready she is to mess with tara's mind just to keep them from fighting...the scene with buffy and spike was really sweet :) loved this chapter, pet :)
Thanks! As I've said in various responses, the entire idea of the story is to explore what would -- and more importantly, wouldn't -- change had Spike jumped instead of Buffy. Looks like Willow's on the fast-track to being bad no matter who dies. Wonder what else will stay the same...? :P

Good chapter.Update soon.Bad Willow!On Thursday at 11:30,my junior year of high school will be over and I'll be a senior.It's terrifying.(Also,my challenge doesn't have a time limit.Just thought that you were still going to do it in May like you said before.But I can wait.I have all summer.)
I'd like to take a gander at your challenge; unfortunately, I have a lot on my plate at the moment, fic-wise. Maybe when I clear some if it off, I can add more. And don't worry; senior year is a breeze. Seriously.

Great chapter. Can't wait for Spike to tell them where he was and what the PTB said, and for them to find out what the magic is.
I'm not so sure that Spike's going to tell them right away; S6 seemed to be the season for keeping secrets, wasn't it? I'm glad you're sticking with the story!

I'm so glad you posted! This is a fascinating story - I'd been hoping it wasn't abandoned! (I really hate it when that happens!)
Rest assured, BT, that I have no intentions of abandoning this story. That I dislike it when stories are abandoned notwithstanding, I don't think this story will LET me abandon it. It just gnaws at my mind too much for me to let it go!

Poor Spike!! At least he's got Buffy to take care of him. And I shudder to what Willow may be releasing...
Only time will tell! And "time" will be maybe two or three chapters. We're definitely getting into S6 territory now...

Ahhhhh the story update was wonderful. So Spike knows that Buffy was supposed to jump and die. I think he would still have taken her place even knowing.
So tender with him sleeping on her floor and her reaction to that.
Have a feeling that Willow and her magic problems will be taking place but in a different way (maybe Tara will be spared this way).
Love this story.....hope you stay stalker free.

I was worried that this would become an issue; the Spike who has returned is the same Spike who jumped. He just has a soul. I'm already playing around with time tangents enough; I think playing around with a different Spike -- and then figuring out where the other one went -- would just be too much of a headache in this story where there's already so much going on. Many thanks for the new update. Can't blame you for taking so long. Really like where this story line is going, and how its developing. Can't wait to see more details. Nice and tender scene with Buffy and Spike, too.
