Hmm, intriguing, a hell that somehow doesn't seem very hellish. I mean, unless one really doesn't like feeling like royalty and emerald cities.
Nope, not very hellish... but it's not all sunshine and daisies...

Brilliant! This gets better & better with each new chapter. I love how imaginative & surprising this continues to be. Just excellent job.
Thank you. :) I'm glad you're enjoying it.

A beautifull evening our couple to share, not for our littlest witch though. Can Sweet win over Tara with his song? Go against her nature? Will Buffy realize that she can and does love Spike? It's all the Music of the Night.
Lots of questions! (No answers!) :) Thanks for the review!

This was a fantastic chapter. There's real brilliance in the way you use the lyrics, and weave the music in with the narrative. I'm just loving this so much, Eowyn.
Thank you, Alia! My mother always said I was brilliant, but I figured mothers are supposed to say that. ;) I'm so glad you appreciate this fic!

hmmm....interesting twist on the deal with sweet...wonder how tara's going to react when she's given the chance...and the songs with buffy and spike were heartbreaking, beautiful...perfect :) great chapter, love :)
Well, to quote Spike in one of my fics - "Not all hells are fire and brimstone." Wouldn't it be terrible for Willow if she rescued Tara from "hell" only to find that Tara enjoyed it there? Heh... but I don't think I could be that cruel.

Perfect song for Spike! LOL... and the fact that Music of the Night is one of my absolute favouritest songs in no way influences that opinion *blinks innocently*

Oh dear! Someone needs to rescue Tara--Willow, maybe?
Of course not! We're not biased. ;) And yeah, I think Willow will be pretty determined to rescue Tara...

Hell doesn't seem so bad. Loved how Buffy kinda gave in during Spike's song. Wonder how she'll be afterwards.
Hell doesn't seem so bad... for now. ;)

OOooooo I Dreamed a Dream is one of my favorite numbers in Le Miz! I weep...it really fits too. Then you bring in another favorite with Music of the Night....sigh....... You sure can pick 'em!

Considering what happened on screen with Willow....maybe Sweet isn't such a bad deal *G*.

Very visual chapter, nicely done.

Kathleen
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the music. Some of my favorite songs as well. :)

Ah,yes...I have no idea why they recorded two different versions of Music of the Night - one is on the Highlights album, the other on the Full Score. Think of Me is different, too.

LOL - now I have Christine's retorts from later in the musical popping up in my head.

And Les Mis.....good choice for Buffy. At least with the music, she's actually talking to Spike and not just shutting him out. And she's confirming to him what he suspected about how she's so screwed up...screwed herself up.
I've heard a variety of different versions - they keep tweaking the lyrics. ALW does that with a lot of his shows. Every time "Tell Me On a Sunday" or "Starlight Express" is performed, it's different.

It's definitely a good thing that Buffy is singing - it's the only way she's able to tell Spike everything she needs to.

Oh that was great.
Thanks for the review!

I WANT Spike to convince Buffy, but not as much as to forget about Tara *worries nails*

Somebody IS going to rescue Tara, right?
I don't think Willow will stop trying to rescue Tara, do you?
