I continued to be mystified by the small amount of reviews for this work - It is such an outstanding story and exploration of how Spike losing his vampiric powers would effect him.  It's so much more than Spike not being a vampire but Spike being flung back to his human status of a powerless weak human who is a victim of his social status and one of the "misplaced" people who are simply not where they should be to give them a good chance at finding happiness and fulfilled lives.  William was his "good man" but also a weak man within the milieu of social circle - Spike is a logical new man out of William.  For Spike to be forced back into, as he saw William - weak, powerless - how does one manage that?  

Well anyway - I suck at reviews and writing never can seem to put into words what I want to express.  This continues to be one of the Buffyverse fanfiction works that has always been one of my favorites and most emotionally powerful stores I've read.  

You are one hell of a writer -

I like it, Xander/Dawn is sickening imo so hopefully the last chapter doesn't go into detail with them =/ the only other problem is Spike, I hope he becomes normal this last part.

This was so bad in a good way that I was on the brink of tears several times... You're amazing.

How very very grim and tragic, and utterly human. You certainly don't skimp on the reality, do you? The sights, sounds, even the smells.

Depressing story, can't help but wonder if Spike could ever be restored...

Oh. Please finish this story!
