Loving this, Ms Clawdia. It's just too fun, and I enjoy seeing the glimpse of the other Buffys/Spikes through each other's eyes.

I'm really liking this so far, but I'm confused as to which time-frame "Other-Buffy" came from. Same time, different time line and reality?
Thanks for reading! They are in parallel realities, so it's late S6 for both Buffies. Other-Buffy has just had really difference experiences.

Glad William got to talk to her, make her understand just a bit about what's going on inside of him as a demon. William was never gone, just not able to do everything he wants with the demon in place. This is a great story. Love how you're showing both Buffy's, the similarities of both Spikes. Demon or human, he loves her.
Thanks. That really isn't the way I see the human-demon interface, but I know there are a lot of people who do! However, what he used to be is possibly having more of an affect on AU Spike than he'd like to admit.

I thought the section between Spike and Dawn was absolutely pitch-perfect. Funny, tender, real, just like the two of them. They both called each other on things that need work, and that was great to read. I also love that ourBuffy is doing some thinking,too. It's just weird to hear Spike talking like Angel, "it's bad enough I have to remember, let alone be blamed." What are your thoughts on the 'verse explanation of what happens when a person becomes a vampire? I always thought it seemed a little too simplistic, but if that part of your story is strictly canon, I'll buy it. But I kinda get the feeling otherSpike is protesting a little too much. And in the last reviews, I really agree with what you said, about Buffy pushing away the normal things that made her happy and wallowing in the normal crappy things. I know that her family and friends keep her stabilized as a slayer, but it's the other stuff that I don't think she needs, like trying to be what she's not (nice, normal girl) cause Buffy's really fantastic just as she is. I mean, I don't think she should try to put herself in a box. Am I rambling? Yes. Anyway, I like this story a lot, and I'm looking forward to what comes next.

I do think that when the vampire enters the picture, the person is dead. However, the memories remain and have a definite affect on how the demon behaves (Spike loves his mother, so he tries to make her immortal too. The feelings of the host twisted into the desires and actions of a monster).
However, now that there's a human back in there, the reverse is happening. He's seeing the demon's memories -- and not all of those are of horror and bloodshed, so they may be affecting his behavior in ways he'd rather not admit.

I like Vampire Spike better than Human Spike... he is just like Angel in the way he pretends it "wasn't him".

Thanks! However, I have to say that I agree with Human Spike. The entity in the driver's seat now wasn't present when all this was going on. However, he is also refusing the accept that having those memories is going to do more than just give him nightmares...

Don't know why, but I really, really want thinks to go real bad for the happy world. I guess because I think the people there are a bit too fake, and I want the big reveal that everything isn't happy, that there is big trouble.
Ha! They are about to get a pretty big wrench thrown into things.
