One could only wish that this had really happened during the show...Joss was not smart to my way of thinking...

Spike really could have helped Buffy but the writers had to go and screw that up royally! This is such a wonderful way of retelling a pivotal moment in spuffy history and I thank you for it!
LOVE THIS and want more so on to the next one..:D
lol, darn writers. Thank you very much for reviewing. I'm so glad you like what I'm writing!

spike did the right thing -- in not throwing the bottle of whiskey. hopefully he did the right with thing giving buffy an ultimatum. good read, thank you
Lol, he's a smart guy. I still think that he's always had a good perception on what's what in Buffy's head. Just wish he'd done something about it in the show. Oh well, that's what Spuffy's for lol. Thanks!

Good to see Spike make a stand -- all or nothing! Hopefully a wake-up call for Buffy.
Always good to see a bit of the old Spike shine through. I miss the guy sometimes lol. Thanks for reviewing :)

I would also add to his "I hope List" that he also has the resolve to carry this through to a solution for himself as well - they can both "make it out," maybe not his chip problem but being a partner in this insane relationship is something he can do.

Great Start -
Hopefully Spike will be able to follow through on the part he has to play in this "get Buffy happy again" scheme of his. He's a pretty generous guy when it comes to love, though. Or at least I'd like to imagine him that way lol. Thanks for reviewing, nmcil!

If she runs true to form, Buffy will either show up without telling her friends and expect him to take her back OR she'll wallow in misery for weeks refusing to tell anyone why.
Hmm... seems like the Buffy I've got in the makings is kinda finding her own way around the problems that faced her in S6. I'm hoping you like her :) Thanks for the review!

wow!!! this is so incredible...spike's idea was brilliant, hope she goes through with it, because i always thought that if she'd been honest about it, the fallout wouldn't have been nearly so bad as it was when the scoobies found out the way they did in the show...excellent chapter, love, looking forward to reading more :)
I completely agree. Honesty is always the best way through any hard times, even if it hurts. Thank you for the review :)

Good chapter Mad Dog - About time Spike kicked Buffy's butt.
lol, I always thought Spike needed a chance to toughen up. He kinda lost himself in S6, but I'm hoping this fic shows the old him a bit more. Thanks!

Spike is changing his approach as he tells Buffy, . "You want to atone for what happened in that alley the other night? This is my price. Tell your friends about us. Until then, don’t come around.”
What next?
There are a couple reasons why Spike does it this way, which I'm hoping will make more sense later on in the story. I hope you'll like it :) Thanks for reviewing!

Yeah! All through S6 I prayed for Spike to grow a pair!!! Oops, did I say that out loud?! (hee-hee). Finally, we're seeing the Spike that we were denied for the better part of the show; the Spike that COULD have pulled Buffy out of her depression. Congratulations on another great chapter; I'm waiting for the next with bated breath. BTW, you capture Spike's voice beautifully.
-blush- Thank you. I've always been kind of insecure about my Spike voicing, so it's unbelievably relieving to know you like it. :)

Great chapter, think it will take Buffy some time to realize what she needs, but I'm hopeful she gets there :)
Keep hopeful, but keep patient ;)Thank you for the review!
