Hey DOs - really enjoying the exploration of the girls coming to terms with crazy Spike. Can't believe Dawn is stupid enough to wander around Sunnydale at night by herself - except that she alwsy does.

Okay, my heart goes out. All Spike knows is that he has to save Dawn and it willing to get himself killed for it. I hope that Dawn can find Buffy before it is too late.

I hope this isn't a case of too little too late.

Gosh, I wish Dawn would hurry...Great close POV with Dawn's inner turmoil. You did *way* better tahn canon- they made her too cut and dry. After everything that happened...Well anyway, I rather enjoyed your interpretation of Dawn's feelings :D

Very good start DOS, poor Spike though I hope Dawn brings Buffy in time,,then all 3 can begin the healing process.I'll be watching for updates.

Wonderful development chapter here. Dawn is seeing the Spike she loved all along...she'll have to eventually realize that her original pronouncements about Spike were more right than the things she was told by Xander.....she'll have to begin to wonder at the differences and why. Buffy will have some splainin to do then.

Buffy is going to have a struggle in deciding how to help Spike now. I don't think she'll be moving him in with Xander in this story.

Really well done with the fight scene...we all know how tough those are. And thank goodness Dawn's heart was never as hard as she thought it was, or liked it to be....his abandonment hurt worse than anything else, lonely as she was, but this....this is familiar. He's saved her so many times...

Buffy's going to be pissed Dawn was out...will she listen quick enough to save Spike? And how bad will he be hurt - Glory bad, trials bad, left for the sun bad? Knowing you, I'm sure this beating is a catalyst.
