First, let me wipe away the tears I couldn't help but shed for the pain they clearly both feel. As much as my heart aches for Spike, it surprisingly aches more for Buffy b/c she's not nearly as self-aware as Spike or as honest with herself and everyone else. If she ever actually realizes that just b/c SHE can't or won't love doesn't mean that Spike can't or that he can just stop b/c she wants him to hate her as much as she hates herself it will be, in Spike's words, a bloody revelation! Can't wait to see her reaction to his final words!
