Thank you :) I saw Giles as somebody who was now willing to see past his prejudices due to the upheaval of the hellmouth and the sacrifice of a creature he truly hadn't thought of as more than an animal for most of his knowledge of him. Giles is an intelligent man, and seeing Buffy grieving and feeling so paternal about her, I figure he'd be willing to think again. Glad you enjoyed, and I have another chapter that's going up either tonight or tomorrow.

That was absolutely heartwarming! I always love the moments when Giles and Buffy truly act like family. And Spike really does need to just come clean b/c the longer he stays away the more pissed off his slayer is going to be and that usually equals a broken nose for Spikey!
Aww, that's a lovely thing to say! I want Buffy and Giles to bond, so it's great you think it's working. Giles is to all intents and purposes Buffy's father, and I want them to be right together. Poor Spike is deluded, and scared and desperate to be loved. Awww, he's so cute. But he does need to grow a pair...*giggles* Thanks for your comments, next chapter up tonight or tomorrow.

Buffy was great at the beginning, not overdoing the grief but realistic and sad, but happy about a dream- it was touching and I'm glad Giles wasn't immune to seeing that. I thought Giles was shown very true to character, especially considering the way he viewed Spike in season seven, yet I like how he got thoughtful at the end. I really look forward to some more dream sequences and Spike getting a little insight into some of the scenery Buffy might imagien with him there;) Good job on this chapter and looking forward to the next.
Thank you. I wanted Buffy to have matured but still be caught up in her mixed up emotions for the vampire. And I think Giles really does love her and anything that affects her, affects him. In my mind, Giles in season seven was really cut up about what he did to Spike with Wood and was conflicted in his emotions - and having seen Buffy since the hellmouth imploded dealing with her grief for Spike, I like to think he would have a change of heart and let his instincts take over. Glad you enjoyed and thank you; next chapter will be up tonight or tomorrow.

I am now firmly convinced that you enjoy torturing me by drawing out the eventual reunion. But, bless you. I love the little snippets into all three of the characters thoughts. Somehow I don't think Buffy would be as horrified of William's past as he thinks she would be. I did love that Ripperish edge to Giles when he threatened to direct her to the council library. Excellent touch. As always I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
LOL! Yep, evil torturer, that's me :) I've got the next chapter back and will be posting it very soon, maybe tonight if I can stay awake, but definitely tomorrow if not. I'm sure Buffy wouldn't mind William's past at all, but he's been hurt before so he's not taking the chance! And I always see Giles as having to beat down his Ripper-like tendencies; he really enjoys it in my opinion. And who wouldn't...*loves Ripper!Giles* Thank you so much for your comments.

Loved the interactions in this chapter. Giles and Buffy - and then Giles and Spike. I hope the stupid vampire doesn't fart around so long that something bad does come along to mess things up!
Wow. That means a lot coming from you, hon. I just simply ADORE writing Spike and Giles for some reason, and I hadn't realised how much until I wrote this story. Maybe I'll do some more :)
