hey, cool. but with the ring, wont spike just heal right up if they cut through him? i suppose he could take the ring off for the surgery, put it right back on afterwards, and heal right up. i thought it was very sweet how spike thought of having buffy wear the ring to get better... wonder if the same rules apply to a human and a slayer.......???
anyways, fabulous chappie!
Hi there.  Yes, he can get around the surgery issue and getting the chip out is important to Spike.  Even if it doesn't stop him anymore.  He knows that he's lost the ring before and it can happen again.  Best to get that chip out asap.

No comment on the ring with slayer thing.  LOL!

Loved  the idea that maybe the ring would work on non-vamps as well.  Still, he never did try it on Buffy, did he, and she's not exactly human.  So like Spike, great idea, bad execution.
LOL!  I'm glad you liked that idea.  I can't say anything more about it

So happy this updated, and loved how Joyce reacted to seeing Spike, even her hesitance at first and telling him she was supposed to be careful. Great chapter, can't wait to see what happens next, with the Scoobies knowing Spike is indestructible and Buffy getting a very persistent vampire determined to show her they'd be good together.
Thank you.  I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter.  More to come, very soon.

What's the point in getting the chip removed now?  he doesn't need to since he has the gem, that worries me a bit.
Well, the big reason is because he knows that the ring was taken from him in the past.  If you recall, when he called the Doctor about getting it removed, because he got the ring back again, they mentioned that he could be paralyzed from the surgery.  He wouldn't want to go through that again.  Even if he would eventually heal.

Now that he has the ring on, he knows that he will heal right away.
