He suddenly has to leave on a mission, returning about eighteen years later and not knowing just how much time had passed. He finds a young girl fighting vampires who greatly resembles Elizabeth, but is she who he thinks she is?

After yet another disastrous birthday Buffy decides to make some changes, beginning with her love life. Set in season six of the BtVS timeline, after ‘Older and Far Away’. Written for the Spuffy Haven 'Art Before Fic' challenge.

This fic will carry an overall rating of NC17, though each chapter will be rated according to individual content. Post Chosen and Destiny Spike leaves Los Angeles and goes in search of his girls in Rome only to discover that things are different and more complicated than he could ever have imagined. Once again, we are all reminded that magick has consequences.
