Aw, that's lovely. Your characterisations are close enough to the original for this to be totally believable. A sequel is essential covering Spike popping out of the amulet in Angel's office and the ensuing events as determined by the events in this story. I'll keep a look out for it!

Oh this is so satisfying. Now they've had The Talk that they really should have had on the show and come to terms with their feelings for each other. Spike is convinced he's going to die and Buffy's half convinced she is so they're each extracing promises from the other. Lovely.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! So beautiful. I love your writing. The decriptions, the dialogue, the characterization, it's all so perfect and comes together in this magnificent package that's just awesome! The part towards the beginning about Spike was a nice lil view into his thoughts. I always thought it would make sense if Spike went into the battle expecting to die. Sad, yes, but logical. I mean, the fight took place in the freaking middle of the day and he went wearing the fashion disaster of the century. Anyhow, I can't wait to see what you have in store next!

while this is definitely a better version than what we were given, i find it disappointing that she still kissed angel.  i don't see buffy doing that after what she shared with spike before they went their separate ways.  i actually told myself it wouldn't happen in this one, but i guess i was wrong.

So I can't read it here, obviously, so I went to the link on your profile and read it there, but my computer is being stupid and I can't review there cuz it's all jacked up and anyhow I decided to review here. On to the chapter. I absolutely adored it! It read so beautifully, Buffy and Spike were wonderfully in character and magnificently described. I definately can't wait to read more of your work. I'm almost hoping you tell us how this affects the yucky Bangel kiss and the killing of Caleb and the whole necklace thing and Spike dying. I mean, would Spike really be willing to die if he knew he had Buffy when the battle was over? I'm dying to know! And, since I'm gonna hurry over and read the second chapter now, I'll just tie this up by informing you that I loved the scene, think your a fabulous writer, and can't wait for more!!!

Miz  BloodyHell, You did a really beautiful job with this particular scene and your very lovely twist on the tv ending was fabulous.  You got Spike spot on with all the nuance and sweetness he can display.   You captured what I believe we would have all loved to have Buffy really say instead of the almost saying, read between the lines while she triple spaces.  Just a darling read and feels nice--need a lot more oooooos in smooth to give you all merit deserved.  Thanks.

The start is promising ... Buffy told him that she wants an 'us'. Makes me hope that he won't go down in flames without believing her that Buffy loves him. Or come back to her instead staying away :)
