You tied up those loose ends very neatly.  Certainly something was missing between Buffy's turning her back and then the next scene passionately kissing Spike.   My fave kissing moment but it came out of left field.

I like this, but it doesn't really fill that gap in Tabula Rasa that you talked about - because if they had this talk then, it wouldn't have left Spike guessing as he always does. The characterization is on, the conversation good, I just think this would have come a little later in the season, or even in 7.

Not what I expected, so much better. To let him know her feeling's a more then a crumb, and we know that's all he needed to try and give her whatever she needs. Excellent one-shot, thanks Yzba.

This was wonderful Yzba! I've felt the same way and wrote a good number of things (one-shots) the same as you have between the characters that were affected by the spell.

Well, mostly I've written 2...one was between Anya and Giles and the other was a Dawn/Xander/Tara/Willow type thing as they were walking out of the tunnel and on their way to wherever.

Hmm...this might have inspired me to finish mine and post them up.

Anyway, I like what you did between Buffy and Spike. Its very conductive of a real relationship. Sometimes things happen and we take it out on those closest to us and when we really love someone, we pretty much roll with the punches (within reason of course). Anyhoo...really wonderfully done.

You showed how a little honesty could have transformed the relationship, and Buffy acknowledging everyone else's problems could have a huge affect on what comes next. I think you need to write some more of this!

Oh - I really like this. There were things that needed to be said - and having Buffy catch Spike and apologize was one of them. So much nicer to contemplate than picturing her just running after him and planting a liplock on him.

And her admission that she doesn't hate, that there is something there - a bit of honesty from denial girl. Nicely done!

Wow that puts an interesting spin on things that happened later in their relationship. It sort of explains why he would stick around for everything she put him through. I like that she admites that she has feelings for him and wants him to stick around because he brings her a sense of peace and normalacy. It makes sense that she would lash out at him because he is the one she feels the most comfortable with. I also really liked his wanting to help her and ease some of her burdens even though he knows she won't be open to some of his help.

it's was okay...

wow....that was very intense and very real...so real in fact, that i was left with a slightly uncomfortable reaction to spike's easy acceptance of her terms...yes, he needs to be there for her, this is very difficult...but it's almost as if she said basically, "i'm going through a hard time, and if i hurt you it won't be on purpose cause i don't want to -- but i just might anyway" -- and he just agreed to it...which is *so* spike, and *so* buffy....very true to the characters, very well written, and capturing the dysfunctional nature of their relationship at that time :)

Much better version of what the season could have been. I liked this one.
