Chapter: Chapter 7

In the light.  I like the sound of that.  I started to see hints of how they might both be the same person...  but I wasn't sure until right near the end.

Nice.

This was a beautiful story; a true bit of the human condition and redemption in the dark. It wasn't faux angsty or a mood piece, it resonated with the lessons that they both learned and a believable happily ever after. Loved it!
Oh, thank you!  I'm so glad you liked the story!  I'm very pleased with the way it turned out.

This fic was awesome, BUT; you`re repeating your self. When I read one of your fics, I have pretty much read them all. I love you to pieces but you have to try a more original plot. Dont be scared, you`ll do great ;)
What interests me is the emotional dynamic between Buffy and Spike, which is the reason I write Spuffy.  Any romance has really only one basic plot with variations depending on the characters of the hero and heroine - they meet, are attracted, something gets in the way, all ends happily.  The only way a romance can be radically different is to vary the heroes, not the plot.  One can play with the events and various aspects depending on the time period in which the story is set, but without Buffy and Spike there is no story and, because the emotional complexities are what interest me, only so much one can do since the dynamic cannot be changed without radically altering Buffy and Spike.

I'm not interested in straight adventure or mystery for BtVS stories.  If you like those, there are several other authors who write them.  You might find some slightly different plotting in my other dimension tales like 'A Different Light' or 'Running Wild', but the focus is still the Spuffy romance, so the heart of it is still the same.  I’m glad you like my writing and if you have any suggestion as to how to vary the plot without losing the romance or the characters, I'd appreciate hearing them.

My non-BtVS stories, mostly non-romance SF, do have radically different and complicated plots, but then they deal with characters radically different from Buffy and Spike, and they don’t have the same heroes for every story.  I’ve been lucky to find as many variables as I have for Spuffy so far and that people like them enough that they keep being nominated and winning awards.

I sat down today and read this story from beginning to end and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.  There are just no words and I am glad that Willow as getting all of the nuances that Buffy was throwing out there before they got to see William/Spike in action.  Angel GOT what he deserved. happy days...
Thank you!  I'm so glad you liked it!  I thought Tara's death would have made Willow much more sensitive and sympathetic than before.  And I never can resist rubbing Angel's nose in it!  *g*

Loved this story (knew you wouldn´t disappoint me this time either *s*) as a whole and all the bits ( Buffys smile, Willow understanding, Angels reaction, DemonSpike still beeing Spike, Buffy finally doing some thinking and so on- the list is long...) inside.
You don´t happen to have any ideas for Buffy to think and act upon being jealous of Faith in s 7, do you? Would love a long story involving that... Anyway- Thank you, it´s making my week every time you have a new update:))
I'm so glad you liked it!  Thank you!  I haven't had any ideas about Buffy being jealous of Faith, but I'll certainly think about that.  I've presently been bitten by a bug about another Post-Chosen story set in Rome with Rome's Master causing trouble and am deeply involved with that.  Hopefully I'll have it up soon.

God, God, God.  I just love your stories.  You give Spike everything he should have gotten in the show, Buffy forever and the chance to thumb his nose good and proper at Angel.  Awesome job!
Oh, thank you!  I do want Spike to have all those things.  That's the way I wanted the show to go, so I keep writing it like that. :)  I'm so glad you liked it!

Thank you!  I'm so glad you liked it!  My next story isn't post Chosen or NFA and it looks as if it's shaping up to be more fluff than angst.  But I will be writing more post Chosen.  I enjoy them too.

OMG, I LOVED this story! So Wonderful! Such a lovely claim!
I knew he was a "split" personality, for sure, when Angel was able to just stomp right IN his apartment. It was great seeing Angel showing off his whiney, poor-loser side!
Will there be any sequels to this one? Would love to see some follow-ups!  And will always look forward to more from you in the future.
Thanks for such an enjoyable story--- I've truly looked forward each night to your updates! I'm sorry to see it ended!

Oh, thank you so much!  There won't be any sequels to this one - I tend to be very nervous of sequels.  But there will be more stories set in Rome and Rome's Master will be turning up in person.  Thank you so much for enjoying it!

Job well done! That was just plain breathtaking :)

Oh and....

“My cookies have finished baking, Angel,” said Buffy softly.

Spike didn’t say a word. But he smiled. One huge, triumphant, shit-eating grin.

This was possibly the funniest thing I have ever read. Again as usual amazing story. Thanks for it :D

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it!  Thank you!  It was a new thing for me, more plotty than usual. :)

Another great story- I'm sad to see it end.
I was beginningto suspect that it was a Jeckyl and Hyde thing, but you kept me guessing. I loved the ending, where he chooses to be Spike, the perfect combination of demon and William.
'Energy Balls Don't Die'- for some reason that line made me giggle.
Can;t wait to see what you'll bring us next!
I wasn't sure how long I could keep people from suspecting the Jekyll and Hyde thing, not being good at mysteries. :)  I'm so glad you enjoyed it!  Thank you!  And I hoped that line would come across funny, as I was trying to loosen up the tension a little.
