Sooo was that a yes or a no, curiouser and curiouser.Sorry about the typo, was rushing to the chiropractors whilst reading, so didn't check.
I noticed Buffy seemed more aware of Spike in this chapter. She was a bit shell shocked at first but now she's starting to respond to him as a woman. Which is bliss for us Spuffy addicts. I hope she doesn't let that 'Angel' comment go unremarked, you tease. I so want to hear her opinion of the 'break' and Angels plans for their future. Creepy much. I know it's not been that long since they found each other again, but I hope Buffy opens up a bit more about her past. Most specifically her brief reunion with Angel. She's gotta know how insecure Spike is where Angels concerned. Still loving this fic. Ah'll see thee.

No worries. We'll touch on 'the break' once again, but just a touch. ;-)

Joy, another fantastic update. Loved the opening scenes with the baby slayers. There's bound to be recriminations after so many deaths, but you could see they were starting to bond again.
It was good to see Xander and Spike still had the old banter, Xands blind where Wilows concerned, but there's something to be said for loyalty. Liked the explanation of Buffys immortality and the status of the slayers. Is it just me? or is it strange that Spike can take on 3 Dravlocks at once and  sparre with Buffy seeemingly at his old level. I'm thinking the hand holding during his roman candle routine might have something to do with it. Buffys gift was death, but in some cultures death means rebirth. Maybe the original demon has decided to restore the balance her own way. Well just a thought. So looking forward to the next installment, brilliant as always.
"Is it just me? or is it strange that Spike can take on 3 Dravlocks at once and  sparre with Buffy seeemingly at his old level." - You're not the first reader to wonder that...

I'm happy you liked the opening scene with the Slayerettes. I was hoping it was realistic enough in terms of emotional responses after the battle.

I also like that you reconize the power of loyalty when it comes to the original Scoobies. That loyalty is canon through-and-through.

Thank you for continuing to review Jane!

This story just gets better and better. I love your OCs, your insights into The Future, and your incorporation of all that's gone on in the past. This is getting so rich and complex. Originally, it looked like a good-quality reunion fic, but you've got all these interesting threads that just seem to be leading to an epic yarn. There's the penis-head lady, the Dravloks, Precious the Healer, a Clem we've barely seen, and the biggest bad of all: Willow. I've a feeling we're going to see the 1% of her that isn't so loving, generous, and wonderful. Can't wait!
What a great review! It's so satisfying that you appreciate the OCs, since they are the main part of the story that is mine. It's nice to know I can fashion interesting characters on my own without the genius of Joss. I like your assessment of things, and you're right, there are a few players on the scene at the moment. I don't know how complex things will become, but there are certainly a number of places I could go...

Thanks again for reviewing. :-)

Buffy is a moron. I can't believe she still trusts Willow after all this time. What a dum ass.
During all this time, Willow has spent most of it being a friend to Buffy. On the show, Joss demonstrated very clearly how ultimately loyal the Scoobies were to each other, no matter what they'd done. Willow tried to destroy the whole world and dragged Buffy from Heaven, and yet Buffy forgave her for both. Buffy has always had an immense power of forgiveness - forgiving Angel/us, pre-souled Spike, Xander, Giles and even Dawn for their various crimes against her.
