God that was painful.

These past few chapters have been hard to read yet knowing that there is a plan and a purpose to what Spike is going through, as well as Buffy’s support and encouragement, have helped.

Intense, but why can't Dawn be with the demon now? I know, evil writer will reveal all in six or seven chapters.

Had computer problems and missed this chapter when it was first posted. This is just... intense. Gotta go read the next chapter - NOW.

Buffy's awfully sure of herself, so having no true establishment that this will really work. Let's see how she'd do with all this torture in reverse. Geeze, Spike has to do all the freakin' work....just reminds me whose stupid idea got them in this mess in the first place.

Heck,how can I be for sure any of this is happening!?!? You have pulled so many surprises, it'spossible to truely tell what is going on.

I guess that's why I have a hard time believing that this is all a plot by Buffy and Spike to beat the Slayer and have a happy ending: with so many "Who is talking now?" scenes, it's too the point that I can't trust anything face value. That's not an insult in the slightest to your writing abilities:The chapter makes it clear that this is a trick by buffy and spike. But, with this type of story, expect people toquestion what is going on. If this were to have happened in another story (Like Trusting You), then yea, i would take it at face value. But here...oh no, dear author, not falling for any of your tricks *wags finger*

Ok, rereading it, I can see where this COULD be a trick on Spike's part. Do I still like the idea that Buffy's only idea was to have Spike reduced to a puddle of goo while she watches on calmly in his head? Nope. Maybe the next chapter we will actually see how hard this is for Buffy, but right now,it seems like she is throwing him to the wolves so she get's her body back.

Also, do I trust you as the author? Hell no. You've yanks us around so many times that at this point, i don't even trust that it's Buffy we are hearing in Spike's head. Don't know if that is a good or bad this, though :P

Just finished the very painful new chapters in this story and see a ray of hope I have been looking for. I still like "Trust.." better but I am determined to finish this one as well. Are you getting my reviews?

Well I for one have found this story completely brilliant and unique. You have done a fabulous job of taking the reader from hating Buffy to slow understanding then rooting for her to triumph. Your Spike is as devoted and protective as we know him to be...willing to put himself on the line for his women. Can't wait for them to beat the devil and then whomp a bit on Giles and Willow for the lame ideas and doings that caused this mess to start with! Maybe they will feel guilty enough to lay off of Spike from then on. Well done....you have written this beautifully.

I hope this is over soon I can't take him in pain much more, I understand that it's important to the story but it's too hard. Guess I'll just skip over the next chapters, can't see him in pain. The chapters are great, just not for me.

In Saving Grace, atleast you gave Spike dignity. Here, he is worse then Xander.
