Many relationships will be discussed or alluded to here, but the focus will be on Spike-centric relationships. This picks up several months after Grave and goes AU after that. It focuses heavily on the evolving nature of relationships – family, friendship, and romance. Humor, Angst, Drama and whatever else strikes me as we go. Set sometime after Spike and Buffy's initial meeting. During a routine patrol, the Slayer happens upon a scene that leaves her breathless. So caught up in things that she knows she should not be witnessing, Buffy doesn't notice the creature behind her. What results will change the Slayer's life forever.

This is one of the first fics I ever wrote and it has been unfinished until now. It is set in Season Three and I began writing it during the episode Enemies of Buffy. (the one where Faith takes Angel's soul and thinks he's bad again, but he's pretending). This picks up where that episode left off and quickly becomes alternate universe and Spuffy. It's funny, angsty, and romantic all at once. Remember ... this was written during Season Three. :) Please tell me how you liked the ending. It has taken me half a decade to write it. :)
