Written for the "Called" Challenge at EF. An unexpected phone call from Angel to Giles, which is answered by Xander, leads to Angel learning about Buffy and Spike's engagement. With predictable results. Goes off-canon as Buffy determines to protect Spike from his vengeful grandsire, who she has decided is very much a thing of her past. It takes her a while to convince Angel of that fact...

This follows the episode “Something Blue”, but goes seriously AU and into Spuffyland immediately. It is not in any way connected to my other Season IV post “Something Blue” fics. It is its own little Spuffy story.It also is sufficiently AU that canon timelines may have been violated more than is comfortable for some readers. Fair warning.

What might have happened after Spike found Buffy crying on the back porch and sat down beside her? How might that have changed the rest of that time period? (Note: goes, obviously, somewhat AU immediately, so events may run together more than they did in canon.)

It's the summer after Season Four, and Buffy's ready for some peace and quiet when Angel arrives out of nowhere and she's trapped between two rival lovers. To make matters worse, Spike's lonely and looking for a new playmate- and that alternative is suddenly sounding kind of appealing.

Sequel to “If Wishes Were Spikes, Buffy Would Have Two”. A wish brought Buffy some long awaited happiness, but not the end to her troubles. Now she has to deal with two Spikes, the Scoobies, the Immortal, and his agenda. As if all that wasn’t enough, the fate of a whole Universe is based on a single choice and one very stubborn woman. ~~~~~Complete

For those who've not followed this AU Season Five series-- (and why would you? It was never intended to be a series, and the original story was probably written ten years ago, with another big gap to the next one, and then another gap to this one) --- there is no Buffybot because Spike has already had the real thing, and he and Buffy have a budding relationship that is veering betweengood friends and lovers. 
 
The first ficlet – pure pwp – is “How Can Something So Cold Make Me So Hot?” a very short, non-canon story, in which Spike helps Buffy out with a bad sunburn. An eye-opening experience for both of them...
 
Its sequel is When the Ice Has Melted” and it begins the next day in the same now-AU Sunnydale where the events of the first story occurred.
No porn at all in this one, with or without plot, as Buffy and Spike deal with the aftermath of their encounter and what it revealed to them about their relationship and possible feelings for each other. Riley doesn’t take it well, which drives Buffy and Spike even closer together.
 
That closeness has become obvious to everyone, even Xander, by the time this third fic begins a day or so after the end of “When the Ice Has Melted”. We jump from that little scene to some time later when it’s approaching Christmas.

The names of the condoms have been changed slightly so I won’t get sued, as was the name of a certain cheese product. For those who haven’t read the original story, Buffy receives a homework assignment from Dr. Walsh, involving a box that controls Spike’s chip.
