Spike’s role following Buffy’s death is changing day by day.

  “So, you wanna tell me what really happened down there?”
    “Nothing,” Spike said, annoyed, “it was just stuff. Memories. Nothing important.”
    “Nothing important doesn’t usually make your hands shake,” Buffy said softly.
    Buffy tries to help Spike find the source of the First’s trigger, after she releases him in Lies My Parents Told Me. It is not a short or pleasant journey.

A couple of years after Chosen and Buffy is working as a guidance counselor for both the local high school as well as the few slayers that Giles has put under her care. A new Slayer is in town with her new Watcher. But this Watcher reminds Buffy of someone in her past. This is a follow-up to "Pinch Hitter", the other side of the coin, the original young Buffy of the end of Season 4 faced with the fallout and a suddenly returned Spike. Nominated for Best Romance and Best Angst at the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards!

Angelus makes his way back to the mansion during "I Only Have Eyes For You" where the ghosts of old tragic lovers possessed him and Buffy. Angelus is furious at being made to feel "love" for the Slayer again. He heads out with Dru for a "vile kill" and comes across the Slayer who seems to be lost in thought. In his rage he drains most of her blood and leaves her to die. This is not the end of our heroine as Spike, who can now walk (unknown by Angelus and Dru), sees the fall of the Slayer. What will he do? Will he let her die? Or will he give her a new life to help him get revenge on his Sire?

What if when Willow does the reversal spell to end the spell to have her will be done, the effects of said spell are still in effect??

Everyone deserves a reward... A one-off funny.

Buffy Summers was hoping that when she moved to Sunnydale, she could forget about all of the 'Slayer' stuff that was thrust upon her in L.A. These hopes are quickly smothered though when she finds out that the librarian at Sunnydale High is also her new Watcher. Even worse, the small, quiet town she's just moved to is floating on a Hellmouth. Apparently, destiny has a slightly tighter grip on her than she thought. This story is a series rewrite, starting from Welcome to the Hellmouth. It is built on the simple question of, how would things have gone if Buffy had met a different ensouled vampire on her way to the Bronze that night?


 

"You’re a hypocritical piece of work, watcher," Spike told Giles. "You’ve lied to her, abandoned her, poisoned her, endangered her, and worked behind her back to undermine her, and you think I’m the one who’s bad for her.” Spike confronts Giles after Lies My Parents Told Me.

“Even if he was okay with it, even if he was a bad person, even if... if he... did the same thing to someone else. That wouldn’t make what I did right.” Buffy talks to Dawn in the car ride home from the train yard, in Him.

After the Dead Things beat down, Spike decides he's had enough and leaves. Buffy finally wakes up. Spoliers for Dead Things and As You Were
