This story is written for the Writercon08 banner challenge. The artwork is made by the incredibly talented kazzy-cee. The year is 1943 and Spike and Dru have been captured by the British army and are about to be executed. But - there might be a way he can save them. He must fly to France and rescue the Slayer - a girl called Joy - from the Germans. And in 2001, Buffy is being given a challenge by Quentin Travers. Travel back in time to Germany to rescue a Slayer and kill a vampire.

For the prompt: Spike is the coolest person in town...and Buffy becomes smitten with him. Set in S4 immediately after Superstar.

The follow up to "How Can Something So Cool Make Me So Hot?" - Spike and Buffy learn to deal with the feelings revealed or stirred up by the events of that pwp prequel. Riley doesn't handle it well...
