Buffy and Spike find the meaning of love amidst the terror of a monster neither knows how to fight. Canon through BtVS Season Five and elements of the first two or so episodes of Season Six are used, but not completely. Then it's AU to the extreme. For example, Dawn is 16 when my story begins. Pairings: Spike/Buffy; Dawn/Other; Spike & Dawn. And who knows what else might happen. Set in Season 6 between “Dead Things” and “Older and Far Away.” Buffy tries to make up for hurting the one she loves. It's my wicked little imagination filling in the gaps between the scenes that played on the show. Buffy POV & Spike POV; music lyrics, but not really a song-fic. Rating NC-17—Yummy!

A crossover with LoTR set a few months after The Gift. Spike jumped into the portal rather than Buffy and is transported to Middle-Earth where he acclimates to a new life during the Battle of the Five Armies and afterward. Back home, Buffy and the others mount a rescue mission for Spike but end up sending themselves to a strange new world with a familiar face . B/S, W/T, A/X, G/Other, Spike/Dawn friendship. Rated R for language, violence and sexual situations. A response to an intriguing challenge posted at the Bloodshedverse but slightly tweaked to fit my own wishes. For those faithful fans that have contacted me wondering… I promise that I’m still working on both The Kindred Series and The Path Less Traveled, but I just couldn’t get this one out of my head until I put it down in writing. AU, Post-Season Four, as it would be *remembered* by Buffy post-season five... meaning it includes Dawn :). Following the Maggie Walsh/Adam situation, the Initiative was not shut down, but simply placed under new leadership. That was all Riley would tell Buffy before he left her to re-join the Initiative. Around the same time, Spike disappeared, all evidence pointing to his being re-captured by the Initiative. One year later, the Initiative has successfully eliminated almost all of Sunnydale’s vampires and demons, leaving Buffy free to finally enjoy the sort of “normal” life she’s always wanted. Sounds great, right? Could it be too good to be true? (Come on, what do *you* think? hehe)

Buffy says she could never trust Spike...but how far is he willing to trust *her*?
