Set in the world of The Wish. Buffy killed the Master instead of the other way around. She's settled down in Sunnydale and is getting used to Slaying when an old enemy comes into her life with news of an apocalypse in Europe--and a plan to stop it. The problem is that once they leave Sunnydale, absolutely nothing goes according to plan, including homocidal Watchers, rogue witches, and vampires who just don't know when to quit...

Spike's POV. Riley has left Buffy and she has been coming to him for emotionless sex. He thought he could handle it. Can he?

This is a response to the challenge set by Kudagirl. Contains dialogue from "Older and Far Away" and for the purposes of the story, the demon that Buffy gets the sword from does not exist. This is Dawn POV for a lot of it. Thoughts are in italics. Any spelling mistakes in the speech are not actually spelling or grammar mistakes. You'll understand when you get there.

After Buffy enlists Spike's help in fighting a strange demon, it sends them to another dimension. There, Buffy discovers to her distress that she must rely upon Spike for her very survival. And then things get really interesting.

Something wasn't quite right, but what could Buffy do about it?  She was no superhero.  Season 4, during the episode Superstar, sometime after Buffy and Jonathan encounter Spike but before everyone realizes Buffy's right about Jonathan.

Takes place after "The Girl in Question." Buffy shows up at Spike's apartment and they talk. Could that lead to something more?

The end of "Something Blue" goes a bit differently. Buffy and Spike realize that their feelings were real after Willow broke the spell.

Buffy's already turned Spike away. But when her worst nightmare befalls her, she's got nowhere else to turn than towards him.

Begins at the end of the episode "Fool For Love" (Season 5). What if Buffy hadn't kept completely silent when Spike sat down next to her? What if she had asked him to stay and opened up to him, even a little?
