My first fic. Told from Spike's POV. About forty years after the end of Angel, Spike visits our favorite Slayer.

Jerusha asked for a Wes-fic, possibly set in the SWBD 'verse for her birthday, so that's what she got... in a way, at least.

Summary: The battle's done and they've kinda won, so what now? After Chosen, Buffy hears a tale from Xander that alters her direction and they both are left with ghosts of all those "I'll never" moments now that never has occurred.
