An interlude during "As You Were," before Riley enters Spike's crypt. I needed an explanation of why Buffy said "William," even though I don't believe she saw what he wanted her to see. Also a commentary on the episode itself.

My entry for this round of Seasonal Spuffy.   Set in an AU future (perhaps following any one of my future long or short fics where Buffy and Spike are back together and living in the UK – pick one where Spike hasn’t shashued:  Home is Where They Have to Let You In, Old Friends, Everytime You Say Goodbye, or any of the short reunion fics,  etc.) in which our favorite pair are visiting in Los Angeles for some reason that I may or may not make up later. One evening they encounter Detective Decker and her unusual partner in crime solving. Crossover with Lucifer. Could be a road trip fic if you squint hard enough….

Takes place between Buffy Season Eight #36 and #37. (spoilers for the comics ahead! Read at your own risk!) How did Buffy end up in Spike's shower, anyway? PG, people. Get your minds out of the gutter. :D

I asked my beta what sort of fic she might like for her birthday. Here's what she asked for...

" So, if you feel inspired, what appeals to me is either Spike or Wes. If you pick Spike and want him to be involved with someone, it should be Buffy; if you pick Wes, I don't have any strong feelings about it. I'm open as to whether it's BtVS or AtS, and when, but some of the things I enjoy are Spike irritating Angel (without too much Angel bashing), Spike and Joyce friendship, Wes running Angel Investigations or his own business, Wes or Giles succeeding where the Council fails, and kittens. It could be part of your current storyline, if you'd like. Mood: funny and/or action. Must have a happy ending."

I can't say I managed to cover all the bases but I had a decent try.

Set after the end of Angels and Demons

Summary: Follows up on gryfndor_godess's wonderful season 9 comic fic “Picture Perfect”. (http://gryfndor-godess.livejournal.com/139191.html#cutid1), which you should probably go read first, if for no other reason than her wonderful Spike pov.  Mine is from Buffy’s pov, and takes place the day after the infamous party...

Post The Girl In Question. Angel is being hunted by the most deadly adversary he has ever faced. It is relentless, vicious and its out to settle a personal score. Even with all the resources of Wolfram and Hart and the help of the Scoobies can Angel defeat it ? Can Wesley come to some sort of terms with Illyria? And what will happen when Buffy and Spike come face to face again?

Set during season 5 after 'Intervention'. What would have happened if Angel had lost his soul after sleeping with Darla in ‘Reprise’? Vengeance in mind, he returns to Sunnydale to pursue the Slayer. Only Spike can save Buffy now. But will he be too late?

The final part following Finality, Finding The Answers, and Catharsis. Spike makes it to Africa, and Buffy sees Dr. Thomas.

A/N: I don’t really care for dark, depressing stories. Dark!fic just isn’t my thing. Too damn bad the muse wouldn’t listen, and despite my endless pleading, he demanded this one be written in response to the “Third Slayer” challenge posted for round nine of Fang Fetish Awards. I will warn you up front that this is not a fluffy, happily-ever-after story. And it takes place in an alternate reality wherein Angelus has never had a soul. Spike never came to Sunnydale, never got caught and chipped by the Initiative, and never fell in love with Buffy. He is still evil and soulless with no intentions towards the side of good.
