Encouraged to be written this evening to make it in time for the Nekid Spike LJ community for "Spike's Bad Day," although I'm a day ahead. Due to school, I've had no choice. Anyway, it's a one shot, set during "Gone..."

A person's greatest strength is often revealed when no one is around to see it. Post-Showtime, Xander and Buffy have a conversation. If you like, this piece can fit with Remember, Believe, and Rest, but it isn't necessary to read the two together.

Spike comes back from Africa, in the Summer after season six, and finds that he's not the only one who's changed. When Faith's life is in danger, Buffy and Spike team up to save the day.

She only gives him the barest taste, but it’s enough to bring her to life.

Buffy and Spike have a hopeful reunion in the midst of a mission. They depart with the promise of a future of some sort together. However, hope turns to dismay when Buffy receives word of Spike's sudden death. Will update weekly.

This story takes place about a month after The Ghost in You. It is helpful, but not necessary to read that story first. The story takes place in an AU version of Season 6. Spike and Buffy are together, living in her house and caring for Dawn after Buffy was brought back from the dead. Their newfound peace is due to be shattered when they become pawns in a battle between the Powers that Be and a race of demons hungry for power.
